This is a key with an ID48 Megamos Crypto transponder chip for the Alfa Romeo 147 used from 2000 to 2010.
The key can be cut if required.
The key code will take the following format:
- The letters DE followed by a five digit number in the range 00001 to 11210
For example: DE11210 as shown below.
The key code is recorded on a card like this:
This card should be located within the vehicle documentation wallet.
The key can be cut from the key code or a decent digital picture of an existing key for the vehicle.

If the key is cut from a picture the key code will be provided. If you ever require another key then one can be cut from this key code.
Additional keys are programmed into an Alfa Romeo 147 from 2000 to 2010 using a diagnostic machine plugged into the vehicle.The transponder chip will require vehicle specific information coded into it prior to being programmed into the vehicle. Auto locksmiths, the more advanced key cutting/locksmith shops and some specialist auto electricians have this equipement. The main dealer can only program keys that they provide.
