Toyota MR2 key TOY41RAT

This is a replacement key for the Toyota MR2 used from 1997 to 2007. It can be used to replace a worn or damaged key. The transponder chip can be transferred from your worn or damaged key and put into the new one.

The key can be cut and also provided with a transponder chip if required.

The key code will take one of the following formats:

• A letter D followed by a four digit number in the range 0001 to 3000.
• A letter G followed by a four digit number in the range 0001 to 2377.
• A letter P followed by a four digit number in the range 0001 to 2390.
• A letter X followed by a four digit number in the range 0001 to 2248.

The key code is recorded on a metal tag like this:

This tag would have been attached to the keys when the car was new.

The key can be cut from the key code or a decent digital picture of an existing key for the vehicle.

If the key is cut from pictures the key code will be provided. If you ever require another key then one can be cut from this key code.

You can program additional keys into a Toyota MR2 from 2000 to 2006 using a manual procedure. To do this you must be in possession of a master key that starts the vehicle.

Alternatively... if a key that starts the vehicle is brought or sent to us we have the facilities to copy the transponder chip within it onto a new one. The new key will then start the vehicle without any further programming being required. Email us at enquiries@keymoon.uk for further information.
